Why can’t I create or edit content in Woggle?

A missing create or edit control usually reflects your current role, a Unit setting, the content audience, or responsibility for that specific Event or Channel.

Check your Unit role

Unit Admins and Leaders can create and manage Announcements. They can create and manage Groups subject to Unit settings. Event create and edit access can also depend on Unit settings and the Event audience.

Use Who can do what in Woggle? to compare the current role with the task.

Ask a Unit Admin to review the context

Ask a Unit Admin to check:

• your current Unit role
• any Unit setting that limits the action
• the Group, Event, Announcement, or Channel audience
• whether you are the appropriate creator, editor, Event organizer, or Channel leader

Use the correct owner for the change

If the action is outside your role, the Unit Admin, Leader, Event organizer, or Channel leader who owns it should make the change.

An unavailable edit control is not a reason to reset the app or create a duplicate item. If the role and object responsibility are correct but the control is still unavailable, use How to troubleshoot Woggle to contact Support with the content type and expected action.
