How do I fix duplicate profiles or the wrong Household?
Start by checking the existing profiles. Woggle can propose an eligible adult Household move, with or without matching an unused adult profile. Other situations need help with the existing records.
1. Identify the mismatch
Section titled “1. Identify the mismatch”Open More → Household and check the people listed. If the problem appears only in one Unit, also check the person’s Unit participation. Ask a Unit Admin to review roster entries you cannot see.
| What you find | Next step |
|---|---|
| An adult has an account in another Household; your family has an unused profile for the same person | Ask a Unit Admin to propose a Household correction. |
| Both adult profiles have accounts or participation history | Ask Support to review the existing profiles. The unused-profile correction does not cover this situation. |
| A youth appears twice | Ask Support to review the duplicate profiles before removing either one. |
| The person appears once but the name is wrong | Edit the person’s details. |
| The person belongs to the family but is missing from a Unit or Event | Check Unit participation or RSVP eligibility. |
If an adult needs to move into your family and no unused profile exists, a Unit Admin can check Add to a household → Move without matching on the adult’s active roster profile. Both required adults must approve the access changes. Do not create a duplicate profile solely to enable a match.
2. Keep the existing identity and history
Section titled “2. Keep the existing identity and history”Do not create another profile to work around an invitation or access problem. If a Unit invitation asks whether the named person already belongs to your Household, select the matching existing person after checking the name.
Removing a duplicate-looking profile can affect participation and family access. If you cannot establish which record should remain, leave both in place until the Unit Admin or Support has reviewed the situation.
3. If someone is in the wrong Household
Section titled “3. If someone is in the wrong Household”Use the adult move only when its proposed person, family, and access changes match the real situation. Other Household members stay where they are. Woggle does not provide a general move-child, merge-Households, or split-Household procedure in this flow.
Contact Support for a child connected to the wrong family or a family change outside the supported adult correction. Removing and adding the person again is not a substitute for correcting the existing connection.
For a family dispute, follow your organization’s established process. Woggle’s Youth Suitability and Privacy Policy pages describe the applicable policies.
4. Ask for help with the existing profiles
Section titled “4. Ask for help with the existing profiles”Contact Support with your account email, the Unit name, the visible Household and profile names, and a short description of the expected connection. Include the error or status Woggle shows. Keep active invitation links, codes, passwords, and private family details out of the message.
After the correction is confirmed, reopen Household and check the people listed. Review Unit participation separately; a corrected family connection and a pending Unit request may require different next steps.
