How Woggle collects, uses, shares, stores, and deletes information when you use the Woggle mobile app, website, and related services.

Overview

Effective Date: March 28, 2026

Last Updated: March 28, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Simplevox LLC, doing business as Woggle ("Woggle," "we," "us," or "our"), collects, uses, shares, stores, and deletes information when you use the Woggle mobile app, website, and related services (collectively, the "Service").

Woggle is an independent coordination and communication product for real-world groups such as Scout units, households, clubs, teams, and other invited communities. Unless expressly stated otherwise, Woggle is not sponsored by, endorsed by, or affiliated with Scouting America, Girl Scouts of the USA, or any local council, chartered organization, school, church, or other third-party organization.

By using the Service, you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

1. Scope

This Privacy Policy applies to information we collect through:

  • the Woggle mobile application;
  • the Woggle website and landing pages;
  • account creation, onboarding, and sign-in flows;
  • support, moderation, safety, and administrative workflows; and
  • other product features made available by Woggle.

This Privacy Policy does not apply to third-party products, services, websites, or apps that may be linked from Woggle or integrated with the Service and that operate under their own privacy policies.

2. Information We Collect

We collect the information reasonably needed to provide, secure, improve, and support the Service.

2.1 Information you provide directly

Depending on how you use Woggle, you may provide:

  • Account and profile information, such as your name, email address, password or authentication credentials, profile photo, display name, organization or household role, and other profile details you choose to add.
  • Household, unit, and organization information, such as unit names, rosters, leadership roles, family or household relationships, invite codes, membership details, and related administrative information.
  • Event and coordination information, such as calendar items, RSVPs, attendance, volunteer signups, signup slots, comments, reminders, assignments, and event notes.
  • Messages and content, such as announcements, chats, channel posts, comments, photos, attachments, replies, and other content you choose to submit through the Service.
  • Support and communications information, such as emails, messages, screenshots, bug reports, and other information you send us when you contact support or request help.

2.2 Information collected automatically

When you use the Service, we may automatically collect certain technical and usage information, including:

  • device type, operating system, app version, browser type, language, and general technical environment;
  • IP address, basic request metadata, crash logs, diagnostics, and performance telemetry;
  • interactions with app or website features, screens, buttons, forms, and workflows;
  • notification preferences and, if enabled, push notification tokens or similar device messaging identifiers; and
  • website analytics and attribution information such as referrer information, campaign parameters, and interaction signals used to understand traffic sources and improve the Service.

2.3 Information from other people in your organization or household

We may receive information about you from another user, household member, parent, guardian, leader, administrator, or organizer who invites you, adds you to a roster, assigns you to an event, or otherwise includes you in an organization or household workflow.

2.4 Information from sign-in and location providers

If you choose to use third-party sign-in or location search features, we may receive information from those providers.

Examples may include:

  • Sign-in providers, such as Sign in with Apple or Google Sign-In, which may provide information such as your email address, display name, provider-specific user identifier, and authentication or identity-token claims needed to authenticate you, create or link your account, and manage your session.
  • Private relay email addresses, where applicable. If you use Sign in with Apple and choose to hide your email address, Apple may provide us with a private relay email address instead of your actual email address. We may store and use that relay address for account identification and account-related or service communications.
  • Location search providers, such as Google Places, which may process the place-search text you enter and return autocomplete suggestions, place identifiers, and place details to help users search for and save event locations.

This Privacy Policy does not describe access to Gmail, Google Drive, Google Calendar, Apple Mail, iCloud Drive, Apple Calendar, or similar content services. If Woggle later adds access to additional provider-linked user data, we will update this Privacy Policy and, where required, request any additional permissions or consent before using that data in a new way.

3. How We Use Information

We use information for the following purposes:

  • to create and manage accounts and authenticate users;
  • to operate channels, announcements, messaging, household participation, events, RSVPs, attendance, signups, invites, and related coordination workflows;
  • to provide parent, guardian, leader, moderator, and administrator visibility or controls where relevant to the product design;
  • to provide sign-in and provider-linked features that you request, such as Sign in with Apple, Google Sign-In, or event location search;
  • to personalize and improve the Service, including feature quality, reliability, and usability;
  • to send transactional or service-related communications such as invites, confirmations, reminders, alerts, notices, and support responses;
  • to secure the Service, detect misuse, prevent fraud, investigate suspicious activity, and enforce our Terms and policies;
  • to respond to safety concerns, moderation reports, abuse complaints, and legal requests;
  • to analyze website traffic, campaign attribution, onboarding effectiveness, and product usage trends; and
  • to comply with legal obligations and protect the rights, safety, and integrity of Woggle, our users, and others.

4. How We Share Information

We do not disclose your information except as described in this Privacy Policy or with your direction.

We may share information in the following circumstances:

4.1 Within your organization, household, or invited group context

Because Woggle is designed for real-world group coordination, some information is visible to other participants in that workflow, including relevant household members, parents or guardians, leaders, moderators, and administrators. For example, event participation, roster details, RSVP status, signup assignments, or communications may be visible to the people who need that information for the group to function.

4.2 Service providers and infrastructure partners

We may share information with vendors and service providers who help us host, secure, analyze, maintain, support, communicate, or otherwise operate the Service on our behalf. These providers may only use the information for the services they provide to us, subject to appropriate contractual and security restrictions. We require service providers that process personal information on our behalf to protect that information in a manner consistent with this Privacy Policy and applicable law.

4.3 Third-party features you choose to use

If you use Sign in with Apple, Google Sign-In, or provider-backed location search, information must be exchanged with the relevant provider to provide those features.

4.4 Legal, safety, and enforcement reasons

We may disclose information if we believe in good faith that doing so is reasonably necessary to:

  • comply with law, regulation, legal process, or enforceable governmental request;
  • protect the safety, rights, or property of users, Youth Users, Woggle, or the public;
  • investigate fraud, abuse, security issues, or suspected violations of our Terms or policies; or
  • respond to emergencies or child-safety concerns.

4.5 Business transfers

We may disclose or transfer information in connection with a merger, acquisition, reorganization, financing, bankruptcy, sale of assets, or similar corporate transaction.

4.6 With your consent or direction

We may share information when you ask us to do so or otherwise direct the sharing.

5. Provider-Linked Data Statement

Where provider-linked data is involved, Woggle uses that data only to provide the provider-linked feature the user requested, such as authenticating sign-in, creating or linking an account, or retrieving location suggestions and place details for event setup.

Woggle does not sell provider-linked user data. Woggle also does not use information received from Sign in with Apple or similar sign-in providers to track users across third-party apps or websites for advertising purposes.

If you sign in with a third-party provider, you may also be able to manage or revoke that provider connection through the provider's own account settings. Where applicable, if you delete your Woggle account or request deletion of your data, we will process your data in accordance with this Privacy Policy and applicable law.

6. Youth Users, Households, and Adult-Supervised Groups

Woggle is designed for adult-supervised, real-world groups. Some accounts or profiles may relate to minors or Youth Users, but the Service is not intended for children to independently register for accounts without adult involvement.

Where youth participation is enabled:

  • parent, guardian, household, leader, moderator, or administrator involvement may shape how data is visible or managed;
  • household relationships, role-based permissions, and organization-level controls may affect what information is available to relevant adults or administrators;
  • we may use information to support moderation, safeguarding, abuse prevention, and incident response; and
  • the organization and the responsible adults remain responsible for their own youth-protection, supervision, consent, and safeguarding obligations.

If you believe a child has independently created an account in a way not permitted by Woggle's intended model, contact us so we can review and take appropriate action.

7. Cookies, Local Storage, and Similar Technologies

On the website and, where relevant, within the Service, we may use cookies, local storage, session storage, SDKs, pixels, or similar technologies to:

  • keep you signed in or maintain session state;
  • remember preferences or settings;
  • support security features, abuse prevention, and rate limiting;
  • measure traffic, attribution, and analytics; and
  • improve the performance and usability of the Service.

You may be able to control some of these technologies through your browser or device settings, though disabling them may affect functionality.

8. Data Retention

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to:

  • provide the Service and maintain account and organization records;
  • preserve event history, coordination records, and operational continuity for invited groups;
  • support moderation, security, fraud prevention, and safety workflows;
  • comply with legal obligations;
  • resolve disputes; and
  • enforce our agreements.

Retention periods may vary depending on the type of information, the role of the account, the needs of the organization or household, legal obligations, and operational requirements.

Operational logs, backups, cached records, and security archives may remain for a limited period after active data is deleted or changed.

9. Your Choices and Rights

9.1 Access, correction, and updates

You may be able to review or update certain account and profile information in the app or website. You may also contact us to request updates or corrections where appropriate.

9.2 Notifications, permissions, and linked sign-in settings

You can manage some notification and device permissions through your mobile device or browser settings.

If you signed in using a third-party sign-in provider, such as Sign in with Apple or Google Sign-In, you may also be able to manage or revoke that provider connection through the provider's own account settings.

9.3 Account deletion and data deletion requests

You may request deletion of your Woggle account and associated data by using the in-app deletion flow, where available, or by contacting us through the web deletion resource or privacy contact listed below.

To help us process a deletion request, please include the email address tied to the account, the unit, household, or organization name, and a description of the request. We may need to verify your identity and, where relevant, coordinate with the organization or household that administers the account before completing the request.

Please note that some information may be retained as permitted or required by law, for security or fraud-prevention purposes, to preserve necessary group records, or in backups for a limited period.

9.4 Privacy rights under applicable law

Depending on where you live, you may have legal rights relating to your personal information, such as the right to request access, correction, deletion, or a copy of certain data, or to appeal a privacy decision. To exercise those rights, contact us using the information below. We may need to verify your identity before processing your request.

10. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, misuse, or destruction.

These measures may include authenticated access controls, role-based permissions, least-privilege practices, logging and monitoring, backup controls, vendor review, and other safeguards appropriate to the nature of the Service.

No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. International Processing

Woggle may store or process information in the United States or other countries where we or our service providers operate. Those locations may have data protection laws that differ from the laws of your jurisdiction.

12. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date above and provide additional notice where required by law or where appropriate for the change.

Your continued use of the Service after an updated Privacy Policy becomes effective means that you acknowledge the revised policy.
